About Me

Hi, I'm Avi. I moved to Newfoundland in 2021 as an international student, figuring things out on my own, one step at a time. Since then, this place has become home to me in every sense of the word.
I know how overwhelming it can feel to move somewhere completely unfamiliar - the uncertainty, the pressure, the overthinking, the million little questions that no one really prepares you for. Sometimes what people need most isn't just information, but someone who actually has walked the path and understands what the experience feels like.
Over the years, I have worked across different industries and communities in St John's, including both private and public sector roles, and I have buolt a life here that feels deeply connected to Newfoundland and the people in it.
Together In NL is simply an extension on that- a space where newcomers and students can feel supported, informed, grounded, and not alone while navigating a major life transition.
